Medrants and RangelMD have chimed in with their opinions on the piece regarding the patient who demanded ovarian-cancer screening. Each makes fantastic points.

Also, in response to BMC hiring a managment consultant, symtym supports the idea, while Blogborygmi takes a more cautious take.

Is there more to this story? One has to wonder why a 40s woman, out of the blue, would show up demanding screening for ovarian cancer. Was she symptomatic, had a family history, etc.? What got her on the band wagon to go to such lengths to threaten a lawsuit? She clearly was overreacting but whats the whole story?
