"We'll get you one way or another"
What a quote from the president of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers in response to the increasing number of physicians going without malpractice insurance (i.e. "going bare"):'You can't hide all of your assets and you can't hide all of your wages forever. One way or another, we'll find a way to represent these medical malpractice victims because they deserve it,'' said Alexander Clem, president of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers.
Comments:
Hey Doc, you seem to be getting a bit carried away here with this malpractice stuff. I have lived for 60 years and seen many Drs. in that time and yes, I've even had a couple bad ones and wrong diagnosis a time or two...NEVER have I so much as thought of filing a lawsuit against anyone. I do however resent the fact that now every time I walk into my physician's office I know he will most likely be viewing me as a potential lawsuit. Where does this end at? It is not the majority of physicians fault and it certainly isn't the MAJORITY of patients fault!
