Seen in the clinic today . . .
35-yo female came in today with right-sided ear pain. Here is what I found on otoscopic exam. Any ideas?

Ouch! Looks like maybe a really nasty otitis media with perforation and near destruction of the TM, and what appears to be a cholesteatoma (at 10:00 in your photo). I’d send this one to an otolaryngologist ASAP.

yeh .. looks like something bad .. I’m not so sure that’s a cholesteotoma .. my question is .. how’d you take the picture!
